WELCOME TO MY STUDIO…

This is in my studio. The screens fit in perfectly. It hangs from a rod 6 feet from the floor off a steel beam that anchors in the wall.

Do you see the yarn behind me? That is my palette of yarn.

The white dots in the black are markers. I mark every ten stitches to build a grid. The paper that is hanging is a map. Most pieces have 10 or more pages of maps.

The building of stitches. Each one in their place. The top stitch always goes in the same direction. The white string is latch hooked in as a marker. It will be taken out when the piece is finished.

One of the many pages of maps. I cross off blocks that are done. Each little square is a stitch. The symbols are a key to the colors. There are several maps for each piece as the color gets adjusted as the piece comes together.
